”Artists grow their own wings.”
A resident of Hilton Head Island for over 40 years, Amos Hummell considers the Lowcountry "home."
A self-taught artist, he is known for his brightly-hued palette that reflects the vibrant local culture that inspires him. His work is best described as non-conventional, as he has been known to employ all manner of materials in his work, all in the name of creative expression.
These days, Hummell works from his home studio, where he can be found for hours on end, trying to replicate with paint and brushes the stories that fill his head. www.hummellstudios.com
